Coming into the Christmas 2021 break on the tail of two back to back films, I knew that I wanted to make something of my own and had only about 10 days to do it. The first few days, and the tracks I wrote, were bleak and soundtrack-y. They weren't what I was feeling, nor what I really wanted to express. It's been such a rough couple of years for everyone, I just wanted to make something positive, or at least, positive for me, compared to my other work. Something colourful, dialled into all the things I'm trying to do right, and what I see in others. I wanted to write beats and make textures. I wanted to dive back into electronica. I wanted synths and music that looked forward to summer, or had nostalgia for warmer days. I wanted to be playing guitar on it around some hidden corner, use my voice, layer in organic pieces and pack the album's DNA with them. In the time I had left, 'Celebrate The Life' happened. I'm grateful that I dug in and made the album I wanted.. or needed to make."

O love all the songs on this amazing album, howevet this particular one sticks out to me while stoned on chem•de-la•chem walking beneath the twilight clouds and setting the mood with this fabulous album I've been coming back to again and again with a topic I talk often of... life, time and the mystery of being and death.
